Wag kalimutan na ehersisyo po ay part ng seminary life. Remember, we were conscious of our physical health too?
Yes, folks that is right, Internet Addiction is for real.
Kung sa awit pa, kay rami ng buhay na sinira sa excessive kumpulsib na pag ko-kompyuter na yan.
Kahit saan dala dala daw nila ang computer nila para makapag internet lang.
Seminary life scheduled exercise: -basketball, jogging, volleyball, boxing, weight lifting, (don't smile) - yes, aerobics that is!)
Minsan daw, walang tulugan yan. Nakakalimutan na ang pag exercise at kumain ng malulusog na pagkain.
Woops! parang naalala ko noong kapanahunan na ang solusyon ay cut off ang internet.
Self-control lang naman yan. Habang tayoy tumatanda mas control natin ung mga urges na yan.
Kung wala kang control sa kapanahunan ngayon sa paggamit ng teknolohiya ingat specially wi-fi na po tayo. Imagine pati ung telebisyon natin Internet connected na.
Okey not long ago, parang nakakatawa isipin na ginawang mortal sin ang pag te-text, blogging, twittering, at iba pa, pero kung ito man lang ang paraan upang maiwasan ang $14,000 dollars cost ng rehabilitation, why not.
Hey, who can forget the sem's training? Aplikabol kaayo mga bay!
Here is part of the article I found at NPR website entitled, “Addiction Center Opens In U.S. by The Associated Press.”
It opened in July and for $14,000 offers a 45-day program intended to help people wean themselves from pathological computer use, which can include obsessive use of video games, texting, Facebook, eBay, Twitter and any other time-killers brought courtesy of technology.

Strict policy: Internet can only be used for research/emailing and should be supervised and monitored one hour per day.

Nabasa po namin ang bagong Note from the Rector na nakapost po sa bulletin board at Facebook. Natawa po kami sa sobrang lupit hahaha. Isang dahilan pa sa pagtawa namin – madalas na rin, napag-usapan namin kung ano ang mga pinag-uusapan sa oras ng spiritual direction kasama ka, at ang common na topic na lumabas ay mga impormasyon na nahahalungkat mo sa internet. Meron pa sana kaming paki-usap – maaari po bang i-extend ang isang oras sa internet into a maximum of 2 hours. Pangalawang pagmumuni-muni namin – ano kaya kung mas i-emphasize natin ang kahalagahan ng information as formation. Hindi kami magtataka kung nakangiti ka na ngayon. However, kung ang premise kasi is to avoid ung pagka internet adik that will cost $14,000 ung rehab;
Forget about the cost. What if nakita mo ang apekto for example bumababa ang mga grades; wala nang inatupag kundi internet na lang; ung responsibility di na nagagawa; change na behaviour into anti-social;health wise affected na rin….
Now kung ikaw ung mag decide sa policy, what are you going to do?

sa amin dito sa bahay… as long as it helps to your mission (eg. pag-aaral… apostolate… etc)… use it to the maximum level…
pero yun nga kung hindi na… yan ang poverty in ignatio better for you not to have one…
kaya sa amin. depende po kung kailangan ng apostolate… it’s actually the ministry that has the gadgets not the individual persons…

By the way, FYI lang ang hindi kasi alam nitong mga formators ng seminary na itong mga seminaristas nila ay isa sa mga tsismosong nilalang sa mundong ibabaw. hindi nila alam na most of the times sila ang pinag-uusapan.
They might start installing eavesdropping devices sa seminary para ma-monitor din nila kung anong pinag-uusapan ng kanilang mga formandis.

Nabasa na po namin ang yung bagong “encyclical, este, Notes pala. Natawa ulit kami dahil hindi pa nga namin nabasa ang Caritas en veritate, heto na naman, malalim na palaisipan. Sa katatawa namin, naubos po namin ang food supply for the whole week sa pantry. Pasensya na po. Malugod po naming tinatanggap ang wisdom behind the policy. Umpisa po kahapon, nabawasan na po ang internet time namin maliban na lang at doon na naman nag-uumpukan sa KUSINA ang mga miyembro ng Facebook Committee, Liturgy and Academic Committee. Magiging pathological din po ba kaya ito in the very near future? We look forward again to seeing in the kitchen, i mean, reading your morsels (bahaw) of wisdom.

Salamat naman at malugod ninyong tinanggap ang bagoong new policy.
Salamat naman at nag learn kayo doon sa lesson ng mga matitigas ang ulo na nag hunger strike – hunger strike kuno akala pagbigyan sa hinihinging pagbabago.
At siguro naman at nag learn din kayo sa experience doon sa isang Major Seminary sa may bandang Davao, este Bronx na naisara dahil sa sobrang katigasan din ng mga ulo.
May Good News pala dahil starting next week ayon pa sa mga nakakataas ung pag-internet, I quote;

Ipaabot na lang ito sa Council of Liturgical/Educational/Tecnological Seminary of Seminaries on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Tungkol naman dito sa bago ninyong concern:
Yung kusina/kainan/ngasab/chikakoy na yan, is out of my league.
Talking about food na kasi ito. Masarap kasing kumain. It just happened na hindi na tayo big eater gaya ng dati. And I don’t want to impose ung aking belief tungkol dito.
I should refer your concern doon sa bagong comitiba na Spiritual Nutritionist/Meditative/ Vegetarian/Physical Fitness/Mixed Martial Artist Seminary Committee.

Besides pag andito na tayo sa lugar na ang pagkain ay abunda “flowing like milk and honey” kailangan na talaga ang self-control, pag walang self control maging obese talaga ang aabutin.

Kaya lang pag may adik na word medyo naging abnormal na ang takbo ng utak. dahil nga naging dependent na sa isang bagay at hindi na maka function ng normal pag di nya ito nagawa.
kung sa medical term pa kasi ang isang addiction ay “chronic neurobiologic disorder” daw at naging psychological dependence… obsession kung baga. (tama ba doc DFish?)

I am IT&C specialst.
My wife, English teacher, retired, became dependent on facebook and so on. Spending hours at computer has bad medical consequences.
I’ve limited the no. of hours drastically. But not my wife !
