Looting was prevented because they followed the general’s expert opinion of seven hundred thousand forces , instead of the original seventy three thousand to secure the country.
Comment: The seven hundred thousand forces was ridiculed by those who believe that war is the only solution. The huge force would delay the “well-planned war”, a breathing room for diplomacy: a possibility that war would be avoided. It didn’t happen that way. The war continues until this day.
