Road Trip: Tampa to Cypress Gardens

Posted by darbs on September 1, 2009

Before we headed to Atlanta, Georgia that day, we passed by Cypress Gardens.Hey, don’t look at me like that. I was just the driver. I was not the “decider.”

I consider myself a soldier, remember? I follow orders without question. I might resist if the order is irrational and inhumane but in this case, “Cypress Gardens!” Are you kidding me?

A little sum'tin from Rock City

Food for thought, a little sum'tin from Rock City

Yes, mam! HAH!

cypress garden 1According to Google Map as seen below, the distance from A. Tampa to B. Cypress Gardens is about 52 miles (84.4 Kilometers).

At the stop light few blocks away from the Cypress Garden Theme Park, we saw HIM standing near the $ for Clunkers 2009 Auto Dealer.

Homeless Hungry
Homeless! Hungry! God Bless!

The “little voice” sitting at the back seat wanted to offer something to the MAN. How noble, that was. “They called it, DOLE OUT.”

Naisip ng anakin na ibigay ung tirang ulam from our Thai Restaurant lunch, na nakasupot .

Not the “supot” in Ilongo word but ung nakabalot sa “to go bag.”

fish for lunch

“I don’t think so anakins,” sagot ng ama.

rock city, rock climb

One easy climb with harness support, really?

“Gutom naman ung mama, with God Bless,” which is right naman, di ba?

Aten, aten na lang ung word na mainom (alcoholic beverages) dahil pag naibigay mo na ang pera sa kanya,  “he can do whatever he wants with the money…”

In secret, sa sarili ko na lang. ” HELLO!

Either you give or SHUT UP and go to HELL. Amen to that!

Bago nakapag decide kung magkano ang ibibigay, nag change na ang light into green and it was time to press the accelerator. VROOM!

Attention

The place was deserted as in walang katao tao compared doon sa Walt Disney, Orlando na theme parks.

  5. I remember seeing alligators along the highway in Florida; they’re not kidding with those warning signs. I thought nothing of swimming with the sharks at Daytona Beach, but I draw the line at alligators. Looks like you had a fun trip!
