Flooded Altar: A prayer From the Heavenly Mind of DesertFishing

Posted by exodians on October 10, 2009

Flooded Altar

Your suffering people,
vulnerable to sickness,
even poorer now,
deeply so wounded.

bread and wine in our midst,
broken and shared,
cups being emptied,
into our own “rivers of Reed”.

some gone into the Absolute Silence
as if dying with Nature’s pain for us,
the rest of us,
sit, give, move, weep…
playfully, painfully wait
by the river’s tombstone
for the Bread already given
on the first day of the week,
the day i was created.

now, it’s my turn:
to wait in repentance,
to hope into action
in creating a better Earth home.

may this be my lifetime bread and wine,
offered before Your altar of creation.
