Happy Thanksgiving Day America!

Posted by darbs on November 26, 2009

This is the time of year when we give thanks – – and thankful for – – to the fruit of the land – – the country where we live in — the persons/relatives/friends close to our hearts. Most of all, this is the time of year when we have all the reasons/the opportunity and the time to hang out.

Thanksgiving dinner (as what I thought) is not complete without a turkey. No problem, because as far as could remember living in this country, the U.S. Government made sure that there will be turkey in every table!

Of course who can forget our neighbor – Canada, Oh! Canada –  with their thanksgiving offered simple learning skill that rhymes with “glascow-coma-scale” as one Fil-Canadian said in her blog;

Living here in Canada, I learned to make a homemade turkey dinner every thanksgiving. – browny99

Why do we/I celebrate thanksgiving day?

Simple. To borrow the words from wikipedia:

Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival celebrated primarily in Canada and the United States. Traditionally, it is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
